Halloween Parties will be at the end of the day on Friday, October 29. We will limit in-class visitors to the two PTA room parents. However, all families are invited to our outside parade at 2:10 pm – weather permitting. Details regarding the parade will be shared as we get closer to Halloween. As a reminder, please have your child choose a costume that brings out the best in them. No weapons or particularly gory costumes. We can't wait to see your creativity!

Elementary Winter Program Announcement: We are excited to share our plans for our elementary musicians this winter. We will be delaying our traditional, all-school program to the Spring. We know our K-6 Winter Programs are well-attended, and we are not yet at the point to fill our elementary gymnasiums with families and friends supporting our students. Look for more information in the Spring regarding an all-school program.

We WILL be holding a 6th Grade Band and 5/6th Grade Chorus Concert at the end of November. On November 30 at 6:00pm, the Riverdale Heights 6th Grade Band and 5/6th Chorus will perform. Two individuals per family will be able to attend this concert in our gymnasium. These concerts will also be recorded and posted to PV's youtube page and website. Thank you for understanding these changes and we look forward to November's concert and the Spring's all-school program!

Flu Shot Clinics: Genesis Flu Free Quad Cities is holding a free flu shot clinic for PV elementary schools. We have scheduled Riverdale Heights Elementary school for Wednesday, October 13 at 8:30 am. If you are interested, please fill out this form 2 days prior to the event to give parental consent.

Student Hunger Drive: Beginning October 18th, grade levels are competing to bring in the most canned fruit and vegetable items to add to our Hunger Drive collection. Let’s see what we can do to help keep our community full and healthy!

Trunk or Treat is TONIGHT, Friday, October 15th. Vehicle Set-Up is from 6-6:45 with the trunk or treating beginning at 7:00PM.

Walk-a-thon: On behalf of the Riverdale Heights PTA we would like to thank our community for the generous outpouring of support for our annual Walk-A-Thon. It was a record breaking year in regards to funds raised and overall participation. Each donation from $5-$500 was greatly appreciated and helped us exceed our goal. We have a lot we want to do for our school and your kind donations make it that much easier to get started on our projects. We thank you for your financial support and for your desire to help us fulfill our common goal. Please take a moment to watch this video message from our students.

PTA Meeting: Tuesday, October 19th at 6:30PM. The meeting is taking place in-person at the Riverdale Heights library or video is available via Zoom. Find the agenda and zoom information on our website.
