Dear Riverdale Heights Families,

As we kick off October, we have put a spotlight on bullying prevention. We thank our Riverdale Heights and other elementary school PTAs as well as Modern Woodmen of America for sponsoring the Ballet Quad Cities performance of Dorothy Goes to Oz: A Story of Acceptance and Teamwork, which happened today in the Riverdale Heights Gym and/or via livestream. This performance is sure to engage students with a unique learning experience reinforcing our Riverdale Heights bully prevention statement, which is listed below:

At Riverdale Heights Elementary, We will not bully others, We will try to help others who are bullied, We will include everyone, If we know somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home right away.

We define bullying as "repeated and/or target acts of disrespect towards another person or their property.” Please reinforce this message at home and thanks again for helping make Riverdale Heights a safe and respectful place for all learners in our community!

Look for more information in the Spring regarding an all-school program.

We WILL be holding a 6th Grade Band and 5/6th Grade Chorus Concert at the end of November. On November 30 at 6:00pm, the Riverdale Heights 6th Grade Band and 5/6th Chorus will perform. Two individuals per family will be able to attend this concert in our gymnasium. These concerts will also be recorded and posted to PV's youtube page and website. Thank you for understanding these changes and we look forward to November's concert and the Spring's all-school program!
