It has been wonderful welcoming your children back to our classrooms. The first week was full, getting to know your children, and building classroom communities. There were lots of smiles and new learning routines.

One of those routines is drop off and pick up, which can be a challenge at Riverdale Heights. A few reminders as we move to week 2:

  • Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:00am.

  • At 8:00am, students have 3 options:

  1. Students may enter through the main entrance for breakfast

  2. Students may wait at their grade level entrance door

  3. Students may participate in our Fit 4 Life Program

  • Fit 4 Life is supervised by Riverdale Heights staff from 8:00am - 8:15am daily. Students will gather on the playground to walk laps around the playground, socializing with friends. On inclement weather days, students will be allowed to enter through the main entrance to walk laps in the hallways. Movement can be a great way for students to start their day!

  • Students need to be picked up by 3:15pm each afternoon.

  • Please do not block or park in bus lanes. It is important to keep the outside lane open for buses to access the parking lots.

  • Please have your child's name visible on the passenger side window to help our staff call for your student. This helps traffic move more efficiently. Remain in your vehicle and plan to have children enter and exit the vehicle on the right hand side of your car.

We have several new families to Riverdale Heights each year. Be patient with one another as everyone learns how it all works.

Thanks for your time and attention to these reminders. Have a wonderful weekend!
