Dear Riverdale Heights Families,

The spring program is just around the corner and we are all very excited to share all of our hard work with you next Thursday, April 7th! Here are a few reminders for you as the day approaches.

Dress Code: Students should dress up like it is picture day. Avoid clothing with bare midriffs, manufactured or worn-in holes, or anything that could be revealing with students being up on the stage. It is good to remember that the audience eye level is below where our students will be.

Where will my student(s) be on the stage?: You can open THIS LINK to find a graphic which shows where each class will be standing up on the stage.

What happens after my student(s) class is done performing?: Please stay and enjoy the rest of the program. Once a grade level has performed their portion of the program, they will be returning to their classroom to finish out the school day.

Spring Program, April 7: Please join us for our K-6 Spring Program that will feature all of our K-6 students, along with our 5th and 6th grade choir and 6th grade band! We are so excited for the opportunity to perform for you this year! There will be two all school performances this year. The first performance will begin at 9:00 AM for families of students with last names that begin A-L. The second performance will begin at 1:00 PM for families of students with last names that begin M-Z. The gym doors will open ½ hour before the performance allowing audience members to find seats.

Parking will be available in the parking lot and on the playground hard surfaces. Parking is prohibited in all bus and fire lanes, including the front of the school. We encourage families to take advantage of our program shuttle bus. Seating will be saved for shuttle riders.

Our shuttle will run from Crow Creek Park, 4800 N Devils Glen Rd at the following times:

A-L Program - 9:00 AM Program

8:40 AM Depart Crow Creek park

8:45 AM Arrive at Riverdale Heights

10:10 AM Depart Riverdale Heights

M-Z Program-1:00 PM Program

Reminder for current 6th graders: To begin the first day of junior high in August, the Iowa Dept. of Public Health requires all students to have the Tdap and meningococcal vaccines or an notarized exemption form on file. Don’t wait until the last minute when the doctor’s offices are busy. Make an appointment with your health care provider today to get these requirements met.
