Riverdale Heights Elementary eNews - November 13, 2020

Updated: Jan 26, 2021

Dear Riverdale Heights Families,

Face Masks Required: Over the past few weeks, we have been assessing the impact of the latest adjustments to the Centers for Disease Control and Iowa Department of Health quarantine guidelines. Based upon the collaboration between our nurses and the health department when contact tracing, we have found to keep from unnecessarily quarantining our students or staff for fourteen days when wearing a mask, we need to move away from gaiters and face shields as effective face coverings. Therefore, students and staff must wear cloth or disposable masks when in our school buildings. COVID-19: If your student tests positive for COVID-19, whether a hybrid student or 100% online, please call the main office to report the positive test. With the surge in cases, contact tracing and test results are delayed to our office from the Scott County Health Department. Our nurses also wanted to share this information about the upcoming holiday season from the CDC. Thank you! Free Meals for All Students: All school breakfasts and lunches will be free through the end of the school year! Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Meals Available for At-Home Learners: We will have meals available each week for 100% online and hybrid at-home days. You must fill out this form every week by Monday at 6:00am to register for the meals. Meals will be available for pick up every day from 10:30am-11:00am at PVHS in the bus drop off area. A/B Calendar through January 15: Please look at this calendar for our Hybrid learning days. Note that Fridays may be different than you anticipated. PVHS Seniors need your help!
