PV Schools Return 100% Onsite

Dear Pleasant Valley Families,

Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill on Friday, January 29, 2021 requiring schools to offer full-time, in-person learning. Therefore, Pleasant Valley Schools will be returning to 100% onsite learning on February 16, 2021. Students will attend full days Monday through Thursday and Friday’s will continue to follow the early out schedule. Students participating 100% online will receive information from their teachers prior to Tuesday, February 16. Elementary online students will have a designated online teacher and junior high and high school students will be required to log into each class period based upon their schedule and each teacher's instructions. If you did not complete the attendance verification survey at your respective levels or would like to adjust your selection of 100% online or 100% onsite, please contact your building principal by Friday, February 5, so we can finalize your child’s schedule. As a part of our planning process for Tuesday, February 16, we have updated and will continue to update our Return to Learn Family Handbook and FAQ. Please read through this document, and if you have additional questions, email pvweb@pleasval.org or reach out to your building administrator. We would also like to thank our Scott County Health Department for arranging for all school employees to receive their first vaccination prior to our return. Teachers will have their second dose completed by Saturday, March 13. We look forward to welcoming all students back into the classroom and seeing their smiling faces every day!
