Below is communication that all parents received via eNews on 11-September. PTA encourages students and their families to wear PV gear (Walk-a-Thon t-shirts) and join Riverdale Heights by walking in the parade. Remember every student MUST hav a participation form completed.

Our annual Homecoming Parade will be held on Thursday, September 26th, at 6:00 p.m. Each year, our elementary students are invited to participate in the parade by walking with their elementary school. Due to construction at the high school, there are changes to this year’s Homecoming Parade. Please review the new process to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone.  | ||
Parade Details:·    Date: Thursday, September 26th ·    Time: 6:00 p.m. Start ·    Route: Starts at Scott Community College entrance, proceeds down Belmont Road. Elementary students will exit the parade route at the PVHS bus turn around to the immediate west of the high school.  | ||
Student Drop-off & Parade Participation:·    Student Drop-off: Drop off students by 5:30 p.m. at the PV Softball/Baseball complex parking lot. Enter via Belmont Road and use the Scott Community College Allied Health Building turn-around lot. Spartan Assembly students will be present to direct your student to the staging area. Parents must exit via Belmont Road for parking. ·    Walking with Your Student(s): Park at Scott Community College, entering via River Drive (State Street, US 67). Parking will NOT be available via the entrance off Belmont Road. We strongly encourage K-1 parents to walk with their child. ·    Elementary teachers and principals will escort students grouped by school to the start of the parade route. ·    Please do not bring candy or other items to hand out during the parade.  | ||

Student Pick-up:·    If your student is walking without you, they will be directed to the area outside the PVHS cafeteria after completing the parade route. Administrators will wait with students until parents arrive. ·    Students must be picked up by 6:30 p.m. Students should not be picked up before the parade ends.  | ||
