Kids Heart Challenge: We hope that you are having fun with our school's Kids Heart Challenge Program so far and that your student is learning some new heart healthy habits! While your student is busy challenging themselves to be healthier, did you know that our SCHOOL is a part of the challenge too? We would love it if you could help-if we have 317 students taking the challenge to better their hearts, we will earn $500 in PE Equipment! Take the challenge here to help hearts, AND help our school. Attention 6th grade families: Iowa Immunization Law requires all students entering 7th grade to have one dose of Tdap vaccine and one dose of Meningococcal vaccine. Once these have been completed please provide the date to your school nurse. The State of Iowa allows NO grace period for the start of the school year. Students without evidence of these vaccinations or an Immunization Exemption certificate on file will be unable to attend school in August until the requirement is met.
Vote March 2! On Tuesday March 2, 2021, a special election will be held to ask voters to approve Pleasant Valley's Revenue Purpose Statement. A yes vote will allow the district to continue to use one-cent sales tax revenue to build and renovate schools, address major repairs, purchase school sites, install technology, and make principal and interest payments for school infrastructure purposes. This is not a new tax or current tax increase. To learn more about the vote, click here.
Meals Available for At-Home Learners: Starting next week, we will have meals available for 100% online learners. Usually, the meals will be available every Monday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. Because we do not have school this coming Monday, meals will be available Tuesday, February 16. You’ll pick up all your meals for the entire week. You must fill out this form every week by Monday at 6:00am to register for the meals. Meals are currently free because of a government program.
PV Foundation Golf Outing: Join us for a wonderful day of golf and support scholarships for PV Seniors. On April 26, the PV Foundation will hold its annual Golf Outing at Palmer Hills. We’d love to see you there or have you sponsor a hole. Click here for information.
