Our first PTA meeting will start with Popsicles on the Playground next Tuesday, 9/19 at 5:30pm followed by the meeting in the library at 6:30pm. Child care will be available during the meeting.
All Things Walk A Thon (WAT):
Walk A Thon information and collection envelopes went home this week. All of the information can be found on our website: www.riverdaleheightspta.com.
Walk A Thon: Friday, September 22.
Donations are due Tuesday, September 26.
New This Year - Grade Level Competition: Students can bring small donations ($1-$5) to the atrium each morning. Donations will be collected by grade level and students will get a sticker for their participation. The Grade Level that raises the most will get a treat and the teachers will get a gift card.
Refreshment Station at the Walk A Thon - Come and cheer your student on and grab a donut, water or coffee. Refreshments will be available for a suggested donation of $1 per item.
DJ Shout Out - For a small tip our DJ will give your student a Shout Out or play a family friendly song. Shout Outs and requests can only be made in person.

Homecoming Parade: The annual Homecoming Parade will be held on Thursday, September 28th, at 6:00 p.m. Elementary students are invited to walk with their school in the parade. If your student would like to walk in the parade, parents must complete this permission form electronically for their student/s.
Spartan Stadium reminders: No backpacks, No large bags, No outside food or beverage, No re-entry if you leave, no balls. Come out and support the Spartans!
5th Annual PV Band Mattress Fundraiser Sunday, September 17: You may have seen the signs; yes this is a real thing! If you or someone you know is looking to replace a bed in your home, now is the time. We invite you to attend the 5th annual PV Band Mattress Fundraiser on Sunday, September 17, from 10am - 5pm in the HS Cafeteria. Last year's sale was a huge success and all proceeds support the PVHS Band students! At the mattress showroom, we will have 30+ different styles of brand name mattresses on display for you to try out. All beds are made to order, have full factory warranties, are available in all sizes, and are priced below retail. Pleasant Valley Wrestling Club boys and girls registration night will be Wednesday, October 11th from 5:00 pm-6:30 pm at the High School commons. Please click HERE to register.
Free & Reduced Lunch Applications: You must reapply for free and reduced meals every school year. If you have not applied this year and did not receive a letter from the district stating your free or reduced meal status for the 2023-24 school year, your benefits may expire in October. Please reapply through your parent portal account or by completing an application at the Administration office at 525 Belmont Road in Bettendorf.
