We need your help! If you or anyone you know is interested in driving for Durham School Bus Services supporting the Pleasant Valley School District next year, please have them reach out to Stacy Bolio at (563)332-4949. For the 2022-2023 school year, the starting pay for a beginning driver will be $20.00 per hour and after driving for one year the pay will increase to $22.56 per hour. Drivers are guaranteed five hours of work per day. In addition, there are always opportunities to drive for various school events outside of the typical AM and PM route hours. Our goal is to hire 12 new drivers for the 22-23 school year. Please contact us immediately so we can begin to assist you in the hiring and licensing process.

Attention 6th grade families: Iowa Immunization Law requires all students entering 7th grade to have one dose of Tdap vaccine and one dose of Meningococcal vaccine. Once these have been completed please provide the date to your school nurse. The State of Iowa allows NO grace period for the start of the school year. Students without evidence of these vaccinations or an immunization exemption certificate on file will be unable to attend school in August until the requirement is met.
Wall of Honor Nominations: The Wall of Honor Program was established in 1999 to recognize distinguished alumni who have graduated from Pleasant Valley High School. Nominees must have graduated 10 years or more prior to induction and must meet the following criteria: academic success, outstanding success in their career, and distinguished human service. If you know an alumni who deserves this honor, fill out this form. We collect nominations all year!
Run with Carl: Now is the time to sign up for the race. Proceeds benefit the PV Foundation’s scholarship and grant programs. Registration for the 5k and 5 mile is just $25 until May 31, then prices go up! The kid’s ½ mile is $10. Join the Labor Day tradition and support our students!
Memorial Day Services at Bridgeview: The American Legion Buffalo Bill Post# 347, with The American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Pleasant Valley School District invite all in the community to attend Memorial Day Services. Events commence at LeClaire’s Glendale Cemetery on Monday, May 30th from 10:15 to 10:30 AM. The placing of a wreath at the Cemetery’s Flag Memorial will be directly followed by events at the Bridgeview Elementary School Gymnasium commencing at 11:00 AM. Music is being provided by the P.V.H.S. award winning band. Come join us as we honor those who have served. If you would like to purchase a new flag, Buffalo Bill Post 347 has new flags for sale. PV Platinum Driveway Painting: The PV Platinum dance team will once again be coordinating driveway painting early next school year.
