Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress: After Spring Break, Pleasant Valley Schools will administer the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). The assessments are aligned with the Iowa Core Standards and will measure both student proficiency and growth in the areas of Math, Reading, Language/Writing and Science. ISASP is used for state and federal student accountability purposes and to determine if students will qualify for extended learning opportunities. Click here for dates and schedules.

Spring Program VIP Seats: How would you like to purchase or win VIP seats and parking to the Riverdale Heights Spring Program? We know it can be stressful worrying about logistics so why not ease your stress while contributing to our PTA fundraising! There are two ways to participate:
We will RAFFLE two VIP packages (2 seats + 1 parking spot). Raffle tickets are $5 each or $20 for 5. You can purchase them at our next PTA events (Variety Show, Glow Disco), in the office or through our PTA website (see above). Raffle winner will be announced 4/5/2022. Sale ends 4/4/2022. Get your tickets now!
You can PURCHASE - we will have 3 VIP packages (same as above) for sale, first come first serve. These go live for online purchase on our website on 3/28/2022 at 6pm. Packages will sell for $150.
*You can use the VIP package at whichever show you are assigned to attend!
Nothing Bundt Cake: Mark your calendars for our SPRING Nothing Bundt Cake sale! More details to come, but we will again sell these amazing treats as a fundraiser. Sale will start 3/21/2022 (online and paper order forms) with school order pick up on 4/13/22 just in time for Easter weekend!
Activity Registration through Parent Portal: Pleasant Valley is pleased to announce a new way for families to register for camps and activities offered through the district. Activity Registration is now available online via your Campus Parent Portal account. You will be able to browse through available activities, select the desired one(s) for your student, fill out the required forms, and pay for the registration all in one online process. For an ongoing list of all available activities and their descriptions, please visit the Camps and Activities page of the district website. More activities will be opening for registration throughout the year.
3rd Graders Interested in Orchestra: 3rd Grade students and families interested in 4th Grade Orchestra are invited to a Story-Time Concert on March 8 at 6:00pm in the PVHS Theater. The concert will feature the PVHS String and Full Orchestra, an instrument petting zoo, and story time. Mr. Swinney will also hold a parent meeting. 3rd Grade students and their siblings are encouraged to bring stuffed animals and wear pajamas. Milk and cookies will be provided. $10 family, $4 adult, $2 student Century Club and Activity Passes accepted. Please note: park in the B Lot or C Lot. No parking in the North Drive. March 8 Story-Time Concert Schedule: 6:00-6:20pm - Pre-concert string instrument petting zoo in the cafeteria 6:20pm - Pre-concert story in the Theater 6:30pm - Concert in PVHS Theater followed by a short parent meeting 7:15pm - Milk and cookies in the cafeteria!
PV Summer Robotics Camp: Registration is now open for "NXTreme Explorations" Robotics Camp! This camp is a summer opportunity for students to explore robotics through the use of LEGO Mindstorms NXT robots. Pleasant Valley students who are entering grades 3-8 for the 22-23 school year are invited to register at this link.
NEW TO CAMP: *BattleTops* for students entering grade 3. Campers will build and program LEGO tops to compete for the title of longest spinning.
