Dear Riverdale Heights Families,

No School Monday, February 21: Have a great four-day weekend!

We Are PV: Let’s celebrate some great moments from this week! Watch here. When one SPARTAN succeeds, it’s because a whole NATION is behind them! If you have something you’d like us to celebrate, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Director of Communications. Email her here.

Read Across America: Click here to learn about our celebration starting February 28!

Kindergarten Registration for 22-23: Online Registration is open for students eligible for kindergarten. The student must be 5 years old on for before September 15, 2022. Click here for more information and share with families who have students this age!

T2K and Preschool Screenings: If you or someone you know is interested in our preschool or Transition to Kindergarten programs, now is the time to sign up for screenings. These programs are needs based. Learn more at the links below and share them with families with preschool and kindergarten-aged students.

Transition to 7th Grade: Current 6th grade families - Join us Wednesday, February 23rd from 7:00pm-7:45pm in the PVJH gym as we talk about the programs, policies and procedures at the Junior High. Due to space restrictions, we are limiting attendance to 2 members per family (2 Adults or 1 Adult and 1 Student). We encourage you to attend in-person, but if you cannot, it will be streamed at this link.

With the weather giving us intermittent nicer days, please remind our kiddos who walk to and from school to use crosswalks and be safe (look out for cars, wait at streets before crossing). We have seen several near misses with kids not paying attention as they cross busy intersections. Please remind your children about walking safety.

Scholastic Book Fair: It’s Scholastic Book Fair time! Plan to shop the book fair next week with our in-person shopping dates. If you are unable to shop with your student, consider funding your student with an eWallet so they can shop during the in-person shopping days and you then wouldn’t need to send your student to school with cash. Student In-Person Shopping Dates are Wednesday, February 23rd and Friday, February 25th during school hours. Parent shopping is available on Thursday, February 24th 3:30-8:00PM. For more information visit our book fair homepage: www.scholastic.com/bf/riverdaleheightsbookfair

Yearbook: Please submit any pictures from your Valentine’s Day Class parties to the yearbook. To submit photo’s, please e-mail rhyearbookcommittee@gmail.com.
