Dear Riverdale Heights Families,

Elementary Progress Reports: Term 2 Progress Reports are accessible through your Campus Parent Portal account. To access the Progress Reports in the Portal, select Documents from the left side navigation, make sure the current school year is selected, and click on the appropriate grade level "Progress Report". If you have multiple students, select another using the student switcher in the upper right. If you do not have a Campus Parent Portal account, contact your building main office to obtain one.


Personal Safety Curriculum: Click here to learn about grade-appropriate lessons your student will learn in the month of March regarding the skills to recognize and react to unsafe situations in a manner that protects their personal body safety.

Read Across America Week: Join us for a week to celebrate reading!

Scholastic Book Fair: Thank you for supporting our bookfair this week at Riverdale Heights. With your support we were able to update our classroom libraries, give our teachers Scholastic shopping dollars to purchase some of their classroom needs and hopefully your student was able to find their next favorite book to enjoy. If you did miss the fair, it isn’t too late to support Riverdale Heights with Scholastic. Variety Show: Mark your calendars and plan to attend the 6:00pm March 3rd Riverdale Heights Variety Show at PV High School auditorium. Even some of our Riverdale Heights teachers and staff have a dance number they plan to debut! Yearbook: Have you purchased your student’s 2022-2023 yearbook? If not, do it today as our order deadline is quickly approaching. All yearbooks must be pre-ordered. Yearbooks can be purchased from Infinite Campus OR by sending cash or check for $17 to the main office. Checks need to be made out to Riverdale Heights.

The Girls Basketball Team will be playing at the IGHSAU State Tournament on Monday, February 27 - 1:30pm vs. WDM Valley at Wells Fargo Arena. Tickets may be purchased HERE. Put on your navy/gray and make the trip to Des Moines to support the Spartans!

3rd Graders Interested in Orchestra: 3rd Grade students and families interested in 4th Grade Orchestra are invited to a Story-Time Concert on March 6 at 6:00pm in the PVHS Theater. The concert will feature the PVHS String and Full Orchestra, an instrument petting zoo, and story time. Mr. Swinney will also hold a parent meeting. 3rd Grade students and their siblings are encouraged to bring stuffed animals and wear pajamas. Milk and cookies will be provided. $10 family, $4 adult, $2 student Century Club and Activity Passes accepted. Please note: park in the B Lot or C Lot. No parking in the North Drive. March 6 Story-Time Concert Schedule:

6:00-6:20pm - Pre-concert string instrument petting zoo in the cafeteria

6:20pm - Pre-concert story in the Theater

6:30pm - Concert in PVHS Theater followed by a short parent meeting

7:15pm - Milk and cookies in the cafeteria!

PV Girls Track: Think spring and celebrate girls track and field! Get your gear here!

QC Strikers Soccer Club is hosting a "Meet the Strikers" night on March 7, 6:00-7:00 pm at TBK Sports Complex on the indoor soccer turf. This event is open to the following birth years: 2012 girls, 2013 girls, 2014 boys, and 2015/16 girls that are interested in learning soccer in a fun and competitive environment at the TBK complex. The drop in cost is $5 and can be paid the night of the event. For more information on the Strikers please go to qcstrikers.org
