Room Parent Coordinator

Service Description

The Room Parent Coordinator is an essential arm of the PTA and bridges the communication gap between PTA, staff and parents. This role coordinates room parents from each classroom, through creation of a master list of parent volunteers compiled at Meet the Teachers night through a classroom sign up. The role also helps communication flow between PTA, staff and room parents. Each room parent is then responsible to send information out to their class families. This is great for a volunteer that is unable to physically be present in the school to volunteer as this is mainly e-mail communication based. Room parent coordinator can also be the room parent for their students' classroom if they desire. We encourage this role to participate in attending PTA meetings on a regular basis and encourage other room parents to do the same, so they are “in the know!”
